Reconstitution unit math and dose logging notes

The most common peptide dosing error is confusing milligrams with insulin syringe units. A syringe marked to 100 units holds 1 mL, so one unit is 0.01 mL. Reconstitute a 5 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water and the concentration is 2.5 mg/mL, which is 0.025 mg per unit. A 0.5 mg dose is then 20 units. Change the diluent volume and every number on the syringe changes with it, which is why the mixing volume belongs in the log right next to the dose.

Titration

Most GLP-1 protocols hold the starting dose for four weeks before the first step up, and step only once side effects at the current dose have settled. Record the date of every step, not just the amount. A ladder reconstructed from memory is almost always wrong. Injection site rotation
